The WL420 water level transmitter, part number 8801804015, is a reliable solution for water level monitoring with a 4.0m measurement range and 15m cable. This model is ideal for applications involving open water level monitoring. For installation in open water, it is best to locate the WL420 water level sensor inside a steel tube with an internal diameter of about 50cm. This will reduce the effect of the current and other motion in the water for the sensor. several 5mm holes should be drilled into the tube to ensure the level is the same as the river. See diagram on the right.
