WindUltra Set-up Cable. 0.8m USB A to Micro USB. The USB cable allows power to be supplied to a MetConnect Compact Weather station and data communications for initial set-up or reconfiguration via the WindSet software. Cable is not weatherproof and should not be used once units are left on site.

Description

For the initial setup, it is recommended that the WindUltra is connected to the WindSet using the USB to USB, power and data cable, part ref 1416-PK-031. It is also possible to connect to the WindUltra to a PC using the M12 connector and it is advised to use this weatherproof connection after installation.

To connect the WindUltra to a PC USB port follow the instructions below.

  1. Tun the USB port cover on the WindUltra counter clockwise to open it.
  2. Allow the USB port cover to use upwards
  3. Remove the USB port cover
  4. Connect a USB power and data cable to the WindUltra and to a PC.
  5. When the WindUltra is set-up, replace the USB port cover and turn clockwise until the slot aligns with the locked padlock symbol. This will ensure a waterproof seal.

Please note: Some USB to Micro USB cable do not provide both power and data connection and the 1416-PK-031 cable should be used.
