Description

The WindSonic 60 is a robust, versatile wind speed and direction sensor. With no moving parts, or cups that can easily be damage, the WindSonic anemometer can be position in the grating over the mounting pit protecting a rain bucket, or where birds have previously damaged the more delicate cup anemometer. Providing consistent,  useful wind data with minimal disruption or downtime.

Part Number 1405-PK-165 has an RS485 Modbus RTU output. This allows for easier integration into complex industrial or meteorological networks. This digital interface is particularly advantageous for multi-sensor arrays. By assigning unique addresses to each unit, users can deploy a daisy-chained network to map wind flows around obstructions like buildings and trees. This capability also simplifies WMO compliant installations, allowing the WindSonic to be positioned at the standard 10m height while synchronising data with auxiliary sensors positioned at 2m.
