1-Wire Ambient Condition Modules

The TSL200 and TSP200 are key 1-Wire sensors for monitoring ambient conditions. The TSL200 specialises in ambient visible light measurement, offering a high dynamic range (up to 83,000 lux) and strong IR rejection to accurately mimic human eye response, crucial for lighting control and daylight sensing. Complementing this, the TSP200 precisely measures barometric pressure, utilising a robust MEMS element for high accuracy and long-term stability. Description

The TSL200 and TSP200 form a complementary pair of 1-Wire ambient condition modules designed for sensing ambient condition within a 1-Wire network. The TSL200 is a highly sensitive ambient light sensor, capable of measuring visible light intensity with an impressive dynamic range of up to 83,000 lux. Its strong infrared rejection ensures its spectral response closely matches that of the human eye, making it ideal for lighting control and daylight harvesting applications. The TSP200 provides precise barometric pressure measurements, utilising a robust silicon MEMS element. It’s characterised by high accuracy, linearity, and long-term stability, operating efficiently even with nano-power consumption across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for low-power environmental monitoring.

Both sensors can be integrate seamlessly into a 1-Wire network, leveraging their unique 64-bit serial codes to allow multiple units to operate on the same bus without interference. This common communication protocol simplifies wiring and system expansion. The TSL200 offers automatic full-scale settings for precise light measurement across varying intensities, while the TSP200’s internal temperature compensation ensures accuracy over its operating range.
