Description
The TST300 is a precision temperature sensor that uses a Modbus RTU interface for communication. It’s unique in that it doesn’t require an external power supply, drawing power directly from the interface. This makes it an excellent choice for applications needing precise temperature monitoring and control. The sensor integrates a band-gap temperature sensing element with signal processing, providing a fully calibrated digital output straight from the factory. It’s ideal for environments demanding high accuracy, such as server rooms, offices, and facilities storing drugs or food. It’s also well-suited for smart office systems, data loggers, and thermostats.
The TST300 boasts high measurement accuracy, achieving as low as ±0.13°C within the +20 to +60°C range, with 12-bit precision from its onboard digital-to-analogue converter. It has a low current consumption of less than 5mA, operating on a supply voltage between 4 and 5.5vDC. Communication with controllers is handled via an RS-485 interface, and each sensor features a unique serial code, allowing multiple sensors to be connected to the same bus. For simplified installation, the digital temperature sensor includes two RJ45 connectors, facilitating easy daisy-chain wiring using standard UTP/FTP patch LAN cables.
