Description

The rechargeable slim Lithium-ion extended range battery has been designed to provide up to 18 hours of run time while minimizing extra weight and size. The battery is compatible with existing chargers and the DSX™ Docking Stations with a new blue spacer available to accommodate the different sizes.

Ventis Family Battery Pack Options

Rechargeable Battery Packs

Lithium-Ion – Designed for use with non-pumped Ventis units to provide up to 12-hour operation.

Lithium-Ion Slim Extended – Designed for use with non-pumped Ventis units to provide up to 18-hour operation.

Lithium-Ion Extended Range – Designed for use with pumped Ventis units to provide up to 12-hour operation but may be used with non-pumped Ventis units to provide up to 20-hour operation.

Non-Rechargeable Battery Packs

Alkaline – Designed for use with all Ventis units to provide up to 4-hour operation but may be used with non-pumped Ventis units to provide up to 8-hour operation. Battery packs consists of three standard AAA cell batteries.

All run time estimates based on a non-pumped instrument with LEL, CO, H2S and O2 sensors used at room temperature.

Ventis desktop chargers and datalinks now include a redesigned blue spacer to allow for them to accommodate the three different rechargeable battery pack options. This new spacer will be supplied with new batteries supplied until January 2018 and with all new Ventis desktop chargers and datalinks going forward. Additional spacers may also be ordered using part number 17157567. The image below shows the three configurations for the desktop charger for the three battery options.

For standard Li-Ion battery units, side 1 should be facing forward in the front slot and the extended Li-Ion battery units side 2 should be facing forward in the rear slot. For the new slim Extended Li-Ion battery units, side 2 should be facing forward in the front slot.
