Description
Snap Heads for 20m/s MiniAir Macro Steel Vane Anemometer
All MiniAir plastic vane anemometer probes are designed with a snap head impeller with a separate probe handle that contains all the electronics. The probes include a synthetic plastic construction snap head with a Steel vane that are suitable for measuring aggressive gas flows. The MiniAir impeller is the first part that will wear out from use. The bearings may wearing out, hair and other debris can become tangled in the turbine or other damage can all cause a probe to no longer provide accurate readings. Replacement snap head impellers allow the snap head to be replaced on site to continue measurements using the same probe and saves needing to purchase the whole probe.
The snap-head fixing system makes it very simple to fit a new impeller to the flow probe, whilst being secure enough to not be removed whilst in use. Being able to replace a damaged probe quickly and easily saves losing time and money in any air flow monitoring application. To replace a damaged snap head, the old snap head should be pulled directly from the handle and the replacement head pushed directly on to the handle. The original calibration is retained and no adjustments should be required.
This snap-on head, Part Ref: SNAPHD262, is suitable for:
- MiniAir20 Ex anemometer probes, Part Ref: MIEX202262, 95.0380
- MiniAir6 Ex anemometer probes, Part Ref: MIEX06262.
- MiniAir64 Ex anemometer probes, Part Ref: MIEX64262, 93.1044.
A snap-on head can only be replaced by a snap-on head of the same size, i.e. Micro for Micro, Mini for Mini and Macro for Macro. The vane material must also be the same (Aluminium or Steel). Trying to use this MiniAir snap-on head for any other anemometer, will cause the probe to lose its specification regarding accuracy.
95.0400 is the replacement part for part no. SNAPHDU252.
Please note, MiniAir anemometers with fully Steel measuring heads are screwed to the shaft and are not replaceable.
