Description
Darca Heritage Version 2 – Site-based data analysis with multiple loggers and users
Introduction
As with Version 1, Darca Heritage Version 2 allows you to analyse your data by referring to its physical location. A Site is divided into Buildings, which are sub-divided into Zones, each of which contains Groups of measured data points.
In the following illustration of a simple site layout, there are two Buildings. ‘Building 1’ contains two Zones, ‘Ground floor’ and ‘First floor’. Each Zone contains two Groups (which are effectively transmitters), measuring particular physical locations. A receiver/logger in the office collects the data from the transmitters.
Data Collection
Darca Heritage 2 stores all data in a database, which allows transmitters to be relocated at any time. Data stored in the database can be accessed quickly and securely by a large number of users simultaneously.
System Users
Darca Heritage 2 has three levels of user:
- Site Administrator
- Department Administrator
- Secondary User
A Site Administrator can configure the software, set up the site and retrieve data from the data logger.
A Department Administrator can specify which zones are in their department, in order to create a cut-down version of the whole site which is appropriate to that department.
A Secondary User can only view charted data or a snapshot of the latest stored values.
E-mail and SMS alarm reporting
Darca Heritage V2 contains the facility to send emails and text messages when alarm conditions occur or when aspects of the system may not be functioning correctly.
Alarm Emailing works by maintaining a list of users, each of which has a number of email addresses and/or mobile phones associated with it. Alarm types can then be enabled/disabled for each user.
Alarms may also be sent as text messages. Each mobile phone associated with the system can be set to monitor a specific area of the site.
