The HF3A Remote Cable Transmitter is designed for complex, restricted, or extreme-temperature installations where mounting a transmitter housing directly at the measurement point is impractical. By separating the probe from the transmitter body with a rugged 2-meter flexible electrical cable, this version allows the main housing and its optional display to remain safely outside harsh environments.

Equipped with the upgraded Rotronic HygroMer® HT-1 sensor, it is the ideal choice for climatic testing chambers, high-vibration environments, or deep machinery voids.

Key Features

  • Enclosure Rating: Industrial polycarbonate (PC-ABS) housing rated to IP65 for total dust and water resistance.
  • Separated Dimensions: Main housing measures 122 x 82 x 40.5 mm, while the independent, remote probe measures 144 x 15 mm.
  • Extended Probe Range: The remote probe can safely handle extended microclimates from -50 to 100 °C and 0 to 100 %RH. (Main housing electronics are limited to standard ambient operating limits).
  • System Accuracy: Delivers high precision of ±1.2 %RH and ±0.1 K at 23 °C.
  • Next-Gen Connectivity: Features a built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) interface, enabling touchless parameters adjustments, device configuration, and testing via smartphone or PC without needing the device to be powered.

To accommodate standard commercial applications without ordering friction, the HF3A Remote Cable version is available in 6 standard stock configurations. These combine two interface styles with three power and signal options:

1. Choose Your Interface & Display Option
  • No Display (Standard Front): A clean, blind front faceplate featuring an intuitive, multi-colour status LED that provides system health metrics and alarms.
  • Backlit LCD Display: A sharp graphic display showing real-time temperature, humidity, and an onboard calculated dew point metric for local diagnostics.
2. Choose Your Wiring & Output Topology
  • 2-Wire Loop Powered (HF3A-2): A streamlined configuration that powers the unit entirely via the signal loop, outputting a fixed 4-20 mA analogue signal.
  • 3/4-Wire Active Analogue (HF3A-3): An actively powered circuit offering high load flexibility and fully scalable 4-20 mA analogue loop outputs.
  • 3/4-Wire Digital + Analogue (HF3A-D): The premium integration configuration, featuring native Modbus RTU over RS485 digital communications paired alongside standard 4-20 mA analogue outputs.
