A selection of calibration and reference test instruments suitable for checking temperature and pressure measurements of related instruments plus leak detectors, flame simulators and pressure generators. Temperature instruments include thermocouple simulators, drywell calibrators, non-contact infrared temperature sensors and thermometer for K type thermocouples. An ultrasonic leak detectors can be used to detect ultrasounds generated by gas and liquid leaks or wear detection in bearings with rotating parts. Pressure calibrators are available for both low and high pressure generation using pneumatic and hydraulic pressure generation techniques for testing and calibrating pressure sensors. Test instruments include SharpEye flame simulators and FlameGard test lamps for testing their respective flame detectors.

Sharpeye Flame Simulator

Flame simulators allow you to fully test the function of your flame detection system under real fire conditions without the associated risks of an open flame. The Spectrex range of FS-1X00 flame simulators covers the full range of IR, UV/IR, IR3 and IR4 flame detectors. Each flame simulator covers a specific electromagnetic radiation band to cover a specific fire type. The units are portable battery powered units that allow units to be used to fully test the fire detection system function, lines of sight for obstructions and window lens cleanliness. In order to comply with SIL2 compliance, all flame detectors must be annually tested to ensure the integrity of your entire flame detection system. Flame simulators are supplied as kits complete with battery, charger and carrying case.

Hand Pumps for Pressure Generation

The KP and HPT1 hand-pumps allows easy pressure generation up to 700 Bar. The low pressure units uses pneumatic air pressure to allow pressures of -0.85 to 25 Bar to be generated. The high pressure unit uses hydraulic pressure to allow pressures of 0 to 700 Bar to be genarated. The fine adjustment valve (which is integrated in the pump) and the relief valve, provide precision pressures for a calibration pressure accurately and quickly. This handpump is therefore highly suitable for testing manometers and pressure transmitters.

Keller Pressure Calibrators

These pressure calibrators are made by Keller and provide very precise calibration instruments for the calibration of pressure transmitters, pressure switches and pressure gauges. There are three available models that cover different pressure ranges: LPX for low pressure ranges (-0.85 to 10 Bar); MPX for medium pressure ranges (-0.85 to 25 Bar); and HPX for high pressure ranges (0 to 700 Bar). The calibrator, including accessories, is supplied in a durable carrying case, making it ideal for assignments in the field.

MicroCal 2 & 3 Thermocouple Simulator

The MicroCal 2 & 3 thermocouple simulator helps ensure that the frequent checking of thermometer accuracies is a routine operation. The thermometer calibrator designed to simulate a chosen temperature, allowing standard K, J or T thermocouple thermometers to be tested or recalibrated simply and quickly, without the need for additional specialised equipment or conversion tables. It features a custom 10mm LCD display with alpha-numeric display line to prompt the user when changing parameters. Selectable parameters include; C/F, auto power off - enable/disable, CJC - internal/external and display contrast adjustment.

MicroCal 1 Thermocouple Simulator

The MicroCal 1 and 1 Plus thermocouple simulators help ensure that the frequent checking of thermometer accuracies is a routine operation. Both instruments are designed to simulate a chosen temperature to test thermocouple type K, J, T, R, N, S and E thermometers without the need for specialised equipment or conversion tables. The MicroCal 1 Plus also measures and simulates temperature.
