CMP11 Pyranometer

Quick Overview

The CMP11 Pyranometer is a secondary standard pyranometer based on the proven technology of the previous CM22 pyranometer. The CMP11 uses a 32-junction thermopile detector and provides an expected output of 0-20mV based on a sensitivity of 7 to 14V/W/m. The CMP11 has two, 2mm thick, high quality concentric domes which reduces directional error and improves thermal isolation. The CMP11 also has built-in passive temperature compensation and a refillable desiccant chamber. Spectral range of 285 to 2800nm. The CMP11 is an ideal unit for solar tracking applications and as a minimum standard pyranometer for solar PV monitoring systems.

Details

The housing design of the CMP 11 is fitted with a screw-in drying cartridge that can simply be removed using a coin. This allows the desiccant to be replaced as required using the convenient refill packets. The CMP 11 also features a passive temperature compensation circuit with a standardised linear function.

The CMP 11 has a 32-junction thermopile sensing element, which features faster response, better linearity and a wider measurement range than the CMP 3 and CMP 6.

The integral bubble level is raised to the top of the housing and can be viewed without removing the redesigned snap-on sun shield, which also covers the connector. The connector with gold-plated contacts allows for easy exchange and re-calibration. The drying cartridge is now a screw-in type that can be simply removed using a coin, for changing the desiccant that is supplied in convenient refill packets.
