Tinytag Plus Radio Data Logging System

Quick Overview

Tinytag Plus Radio loggers are rugged and weatherproof, designed for outdoor, industrial and warehousing applications with multiple monitoring points. Individual units form a MESH network, sending data back to a main receiver. Units can record temperature, relative humidity, and can accept low voltage, current and count inputs, making them ideal for use with third-party sensors for pressure, flow rates and footfall. All the data can be viewied via Tinytag Explorer Connect software. Receiver units can be LAN or USB and compatible for use in the EU, or Austrialia. Loggers will operate for up to 1 year with up to 2 weeks data held at the default settings.

Details

This Tinytag wireless data logging system consists of a receiver which is connected to a PC, via USB or LAN, and a number of remote radio loggers. Each radio logger is a self-contained, battery powered unit that can receive, log, store and transmit data to any other radio unit in the MESH network and will find the best route around obstruction until is is received by the central receiver.

Each radio logger (or wireless data logger) has a line of sight range of up to 200 metres, but there is no limit to the number of loggers you can have, or to how far away you have them. Data will always find its way back to the PC because it can be relayed from one logger to another logger in range, until it finds its way back to the receiver. The loggers will dynamically adjust to deal with obstructions. If a logger is unable to find a path back to the receiver, its data is stored locally until such time as a path becomes available.

This combination of features delivers a very robust radio network which ensures that data is never lost during transmission. The radio software provides mechanisms for third party integration using Modbus or http accessible CSV files. This software is also fully compatible with 'wired' Tinytag products and existing users will find the interface familiar. Data from the receiver can be accessed over a network. Tinytag Plus Radio units also use the same 5 pin connector for inputs as the wired loggers.

Standard units are supplied with Alkaline 'C' Type batteries which are readily available and inexpensive to replace. Units supplied with a mains powered (via ACS-0044 Power Supply) or a 3.6V Lithium Battery option is available on request.
