Solar radiation sensors include the CS3 Sunshine Duration sensor and GMX101 Solar Radiation Sensor that are ideal for monitoring total sunshine hours and radiation levels for weather networks and tourist information
The CSD3 provides a simple digital output for Sunny/Not Sunny and a 1mV per W/m² signal.
The GMX101 provides solar radiation in w/m², sunshine hours calculation, twilight, position of the sun, sun rise, sunset and solar noon via a serial output.
The light sensors in include wall, ceiling and external mounted sensors with a 0-10V output plus a combined light level and occupancy sensor with a relay output suitable for controlling internal lights. Sensors are suitable for building automation or monitoring local light levels for improved energy efficiency.
Internal Light Level & Occupancy Sensors
The LL-C-M is a combined light level and occupancy sensor that can be used to control building lights based on occupancy and an adjustable light level. A passive Infra-red detector monitors occupation through moving body heat and a photo-sensitive device monitors the light levels. The sensors are typically used in lighting strategies to optimise energy efficiency through controlling lights. The sensor is an internal ceiling mounted sensor with adjustable light level switching and an adjustable off delay time. Units are 230vAC powered and can provide up to 8A capacity on the switching relay.

Internal Light Level Sensors
These light level sensors return a linear 0-10vDC signal representing the Lux level at the photo-diode cell. The sensors are typically used in lighting strategies to optimise energy efficiency through dimming and/or disabling of lights as required or as sensors to monitor light levels over a period of time. The LL-C-V is an internal ceiling mounted light sensor and LL-W-V is an internal wall mounted light sensor. Both units have a fixed range of 10-2,000 Lux and operate from a 24vDC power supply.

External Light Level Sensors
The external light level sensors return a linear 0-10vDC signal representing the Lux level at the photo-diode cell based on the selectable Lux levels. The sensors are typically used to monitor external lighting levels to optimise energy efficiency through dimming and/or disabling lights as required. The LL-E-V is an external light level sensor with three different output ranges which can be selected using a link on the PCB. Selectable ranges are 10-2,000 and 10-10,000 Lux. The LL-E-V has two screw fixing holes for easy mounting and is IP65 rated when the snap shut lid is screwed down. Power supply is 24vAC/DC.

CSD3 Sunshine Duration Sensor
The CSD 3 is used for monitoring sunshine duration and automates the process previously undertaken by a traditional Campbell-Stokes recorder. The CSD 3 measures solar radiation through a high quality glass tube. It has no moving parts and uses 3 photo-diodes with specially designed diffusers to make an analogue calculation of when it is sunny. The output is switched high or low to indicate sunny or not sunny conditions. The calculated direct irradiance value is also available as a 1mV = 1W/m². The CSD 3 includes an externally controlled two level built in heater, with optional thermostat control, and a robust mounting arm for easy installation.
