Advanced Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flowmeter
• Large pipe diameter range 6 mm … 6,500 mm • Optional fast measurement rate at 70 ms • High process temperature up to 400 °C • Dual channel flow measurement possible • Non-invasive gas flow measurement firmware option • Variety of input and output options • Suitable for connection to hazardous area sensors
Sometimes the demands of an application will mean that a standard strap-on type flowmeter is not enough. Under these circumstances the advanced specification, high flexibility and varied sensor options available on the clamp-on device KATflow 120 make it the perfect choice.
The KF120 can be supplied with a variety of robust sensors for applications on pipes and flexible hoses as small as 6 mm in diameter, larger corroded pipes, poor conducting liquids and gas flow measurement. Whilst the standard operating temperature is 130 °C, the KF 120 has the option to connect to enhanced temperature type sensors for applications up to 200 °C permanent. Furthermore, the KATflow 120 can also be supplied with waveguide sensor assemblies for applications in excess of 400 °C, ideal for high temperature fuel monitoring and high-pressure condensate.
The advanced specification of the KATflow 120 means that we are able to offer the customer far more than a simple metering system. The KF120 can be used for energy metering on HVAC systems using either PT100 sensors or analogue temperature sensors. It can also be used for pressure, temperature and viscosity compensated flow measurement systems. This can be taken one step further by using the optional speed-of-sound measurement function, where the flowmeter can be applied for concentration/density monitoring applications or included as part of a non-invasive product recognition system.
