PS500 Multi Gas Detector

PS500 Multi Gas Detector

The Personal Surveyor (PS500 Series) is a robust and accurate portable gas detector that provides personal protection in confined space applications with audible and visual alarms in the event of exposure to dangerous levels of gases being detected. The PS500 unit can be fitted with any 4 of the 20 'Plug and Play' smart sensors to detect and display any combination of gases and the optional internal sampling pump allows for pre-entry checking or remote sampling. The PS500 is suitable for a wide range of applications and provides a much wider range of gases than the PS200 gas detector. The unit includes an integral data logger for calibration certificates, data management and event logging.

Features

  • 20 Plug and Play smart sensors
  • Wide range of VOC's with 2 different PID sensors.
  • Flexible configuration to suit your application
  • Single button user operation
  • Optional internal pump
  • Piercing 95dB audible plus 360-degree high-visibility light bar
  • TWA, STEL and LTEL alarms for toxic gases.
  • On-board data logger for calibration certificates, data management and event logging
  • High impact rubberised case, physical impact testing to EN 61779.
  • IP65 protection

Each toxic sensor has 2 instantaneous alarm set points, plus user exposure alarms. The PS500 will calculate the Short Term Exposure Limit (STEL) and Long Term Exposure Limit (LTEL), known as Time Weighted Average (TWA) readings. The TWA value is the mean average gas level over a specific time period. The STEL is 15 minutes and the LTEL is 8 hours. This averaging makes the instrument single user applicable, but an option is available to reset the averaging after each power off, allowing multiple user use.
