Quick Overview

The LPMS-B2 Motion Sensor is a miniature inertial measurement unit (IMU and Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) with wireless Bluetooth Classic 2.1 and Bluetooth Low Energy 4.1 connectivity. The unit is very versatile, performing accurate, high speed orientation and displacement measurements using three different MEMS sensors (3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer). The temperature, barometric pressure and humidity sensors allow accurate altitude and humidity measurements and the integral Kalman filters provide full orientation data as Quaternion or Euler angles, and also as raw sensor measurements for x, y, z acceleration, pitch, roll, yaw, rate of turn and magnetometer data. Multiple LPMS-B2 units can be used simultaneously with one host system (7 units maximum on Windows/Android). The sensor is capable of a data transmission rate of up to 400Hz over a distance of up to 20m. This unit is also available as an OEM board for integration into your own equipment.

Details

The LPMS-B2 Motion Sensor is a miniature inertial measurement unit (IMU) and attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) with wireless Bluetooth connectivity. The unit performs accurate, high speed orientation and displacement measurements with three different MEMS sensors. 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer provide for drift-free, high-speed orientation data around all three axes. Integrated temperature and barometric pressure sensors allow accurate altitude measurements. The LPMS-B2 can be connected to a host system via Bluetooth Classic 2.1 and Low Energy 4.1 to a PC, mobile device. High data transfer rates allow sampling rates of up to 400Hz and up to 7 LPMS-B2 units can be used simultaneously with one host system. An OEM version is available for integration into your own equipment and comes without an internal battery but can be supplied with a 3.3-5.5vDC power supply.
